What We’re Trying to Do
Grace Community Church is a worshiping community within a community – building faith, nurturing fellowship, and on a mission to love people as Jesus loves us.
Just before he ascended to heaven, Jesus commissioned his followers to take the good news about Jesus and to tell the world. Every believer is called to use their spiritual gifts, their time, their talents and their treasures to this end. This mission involves both word and deed meaning we preach the good news and we show that we really believe the good news in how we live.
The goal of missions is not to add more numbers to our statistics but to make worshipers of all people from all tribes, languages and nations. Missions is simply Christians calling the nations to sing with us about the greatness of God and excellencies of Christ. We think God is worth singing about and we want the whole world to know how worthy he is so they too can share in the joy of knowing and worshiping the Lord.
Grace Community Church supports foreign missionaries working in Mexico and Brazil. Grace also supports a few of its own members who have traveled to the Philippines and to Haiti to minister in Christ’s name. Locally, Grace supports the Reformed University Fellowship campus ministry at the University of North Florida and also the Barnabas Center which helps the needy in our community.
