WHAT KIND OF CHURCH IS GCC?
We believe the Bible is God’s Word, completely trustworthy and without error in all that it teaches. The Bible is the ultimate authority for all that we believe and practice in life. It teaches us what we are to believe about God, what God requires of us and the only way we can receive the gift of God’s grace in Jesus Christ.
We stand within the rich tradition of the Protestant Reformation of the 16th century, particularly the theological tradition of John Calvin. The Westminster Confession of Faith, written in the 17th century, is a beautiful expression of the central teachings of the Bible, and has served as the doctrinal standard for Presbyterians for hundreds of years. The word ‘reformed” might sound intimidating, but it comes from the understanding that our “erroneous” beliefs and practices must be “reformed” to the inerrant Word of God.
We are devoted to following Christ, devoted to loving and serving one another, and devoted to making disciples.
Grace is a member church of the Presbyterian Church in America
